The JB Griffin Memorial Foundation continues JB's legacy by supporting the growing needs of the communities in which Shaner does business through your donations and a variety of fundraising events, such as our annual golf tournament.
JB Griffin held a lifelong passion for his local community and by bearing his name we seek to embody that same passion. We are proud to focus our support on the 501(c)(3) organizations who serve Centre County, PA, the place JB called home and in the communities Shaner does business. Over the years, we have also been able to support 501(c)(3) organizations in Florida, Virginia, and Tennessee.
The JB Griffin Foundation's grants have helped to support 21 communities of people. These grants have covered nursing and therapy services, hospice care and bereavement services as well as helped to cover basic expenses of cancer patients to avoid eviction, utility shut-offs and gas to travel for treatments.
The Foundation has also provided emergency assistance to people facing a medical crisis, personal disaster, hunger, homelessness, abuse and addiction and has helped highlight the importance of mental, emotional and social-well being for youth through art and education programs, creative expression and survivors of suicide support groups.
Grants provided grief services to families who have suffered a loss and by supporting the community when tragedy strikes. Bags of hope have been given to each person who is diagnosed with cancer. These bags provide resources, emotional support, and encouragement as they begin their cancer journey.
